Perseids Passing Through

The Perseid Meteor Shower is an August ritual and a sight to behold - especially if you can escape the city's glare. Nature's light show is actually the debris trail of the Swift-Tuttle Comet, which was originally discovered in 1862, and peaks during the predawn hours of August 12 and 13 this year. So if you missed the raining Perseids late tonight/early this morning, you still have another chance early on Saturday. On your way home from last call, be sure to look to the northeast and check out some of the brightest stars in Hollywood.
