Disneyland's Submarines Set Sail Once Again Since opening in 1959, Disneyland's Submarine Voyage attraction operated continuously until 1998 when the park suddenly shut it down. Rumors of the ride's return circulated for years until Disneyland announced the classic water-born attraction would set sail again as the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage. About a week ago, crafty photographers were able to sneak a peak at what is likely the first instance of a Disneyland submarine venturing...

Watercolor elephants balanced atop dripping tomatoes? Pink giraffes perched precipitously on a finite plane? Who doesn't like elephants, giraffes, and tomatoes? No one? Splendid, because these subjects make the most of it in this curious one-man show at Haus Gallery in Pasadena. With a style reminiscent of a surrealist Richard Scarry, Müller imbues his work with a subtle sense of irony and whimsy that invites visitors to explore weightier issues such as the passage...

A number of architecturally historic buildings reside along Wilshire Boulevard, many of which don't serve their original purposes anymore, having been converted into restaurants, boutiques, or office supply stores. One such example is the newly remodeled Metro Customer Center on Wilshire. Housed in an understated yet elegant building originally designed by Welton Beckett's firm, Metro Customer Center functions as an information and pass distribution center as well as the Lost and Found for the...
