A female taxi passenger says she was the victim of sexual assault by her cabbie, according to CBS2, and authorities in Santa Monica are looking for the suspect. The attack allegedly took place on the evening of November 17th, after the victim hailed the cab on Arizona Avenue and requested a ride to her home.

New rankings released today by CQ Press reveal which of America's cities are the most and least dangerous. Of the over 400 cities evaluated, only three area cities show up in the first 50 most dangerous cities: Compton (#8), San Bernardino (#34) and Inglewood (#44). Hikers in the Angeles National Forest made a grim discovery Sunday afternoon as they trekked the lower trail on Lake Avenue north of Alta Loma Drive, reports the Pasadena Star-News, when they found human skeletal remains. An octogenarian couple involved in a shooting in a Seal Beach nursing home is being called a "mercy killing" by the elderly pair's daughter, according to KTLA. Roy Charles Laird, 88, is in custody for the murder of his wife, Clara Laird, 86. The Laird's daughter, Kathy Palmateer, says that her mother suffered dementia, and only three months ago had been admitted to the facility after being cared for by her father.
