Four advertisers have said they will no longer support KFI radio's "John & Ken Show" following an awareness campaign mounted by several Latino and immigrants' rights groups. Verizon and AT&T Wireless are yanking their ads, reports the Burbank Leader, and grocers Vons and Ralphs, who have run ads on the show in the past, say they will not do so again.

The Los Angeles County Coroner's office has confirmed that alcohol poisoning caused the death of Jani Lane, lead singer for the hair band Warrant. Lane, 47, was found dead in August inside a room at the Comfort Inn in Woodland Hills.

Councilman Richard Alarcon introduced a resolution to support the protesters, and, with the seconding of several other councilmembers, the resolution will be voted on early next week. Additionally, Alarcon has asked Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa to issue an Executive Order that will allow the protesters to remain outside City Hall for the duration.

Mattel is the world's biggest toy-making company, and their Barbie doll one of the world's most iconic.
