A vehicle with two adult female occupants crashed through the entrance of the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza mall this morning, and came to a stop dangling about 20 feet over the edge of a second-story balcony. The Los Angeles Fire Department say the car traveled about 70 feet through the front doors.

An unidentified man died this morning after jumping from a parking structure on the USC campus. The man is thought to have jumped at about 7:15 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department, who have been investigating the incident.

The Los Angeles County Coroner's office has confirmed that alcohol poisoning caused the death of Jani Lane, lead singer for the hair band Warrant. Lane, 47, was found dead in August inside a room at the Comfort Inn in Woodland Hills.

The man best-known for being the bright mind behind much of Apple Computer's innovative technology products has died. Apple co-founder Steve Jobs was 56. He stepped down from his post as Apple CEO just this August, saying he could no longer meet his duties

Mattel is the world's biggest toy-making company, and their Barbie doll one of the world's most iconic. In June, Greenpeace climbed up the side of Mattel's El Segundo headquarters, and unfurled a banner declaring that Barbie's longtime love Ken was dumping his main squeeze because of Mattel's eco-unfriendly packaging practices. It turns out, Mattel listened.

Los Angeles City Firefighters involved in providing fire trucks for two adult films will not face disciplinary action, according to an investigation ordered by Fire Chief Brian Cummings.

Street artist Mr. Brainwash likes to go big, and since he calls L.A. home, this is where he is set to launch what is being called "his largest and most ambitious Los Angeles exhibition to date." With an as-yet unspecified "late October" opening, Mr. Brainwash (aka Thierry Guetta) will include his work, and the work of invited and select global artists in "Art Show 2011."

Just how long will the one hundred or so people camped out on the streets in front of Los Angeles City Hall stick around? The Occupy LA protesters say they'll stay until December, reports ABC7.

They call him the Stare Down Bandit because witnesses say he stared at the teller from which he was demanding cash, and authorities are hoping to haul him in. The suspect in question is thought to be behind two bank robberies in the OC yesterday, the first a failed attempt at a U.S. Bank branch in Huntington Beach, followed by a successful robbery at a Bank of America branch in Irvine.
