Two Orange County cities are considering separate ordinances to ban single-use plastic bags. If approved, Dana Point and Laguna Beach would be the first two cities in the OC to put in place such a ban, similar to a ban already implemented in Los Angeles County and cities within LA County.

Three bicyclists were struck and injured by a motorist who was allegedly driving under the influence in Seal Beach Saturday morning. The driver, a 46-year-old woman from Anchorage, Alaska, initially fled the scene near Pacific Coast Highway west of Anderson Street, according to Sgt. John Scott of the Seal Beach Police Department.

Authorities are investigating the death of a Monterey Park woman, and her husband appears to be the prime suspect. 39-year-old Chenan Bao's body was discovered with what Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are calling "suspicious marks" on it. Bao was three months pregnant.
