And, lastly, LA-based indie rockers White Arrows will be performing at the Silver Lake Lounge. But we strongly suggest doing whatever it takes to get into the El Rey Theatre to catch local indie rock buzz band Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros' (LAist Review). LAist favorites the LA Ladies Choir and Frank Fairfield are slated to kick things off.

And, lastly, alt-country troubadour Leslie and the Badgers will be performing at the Echo. LA-based indie rockers the Happy Hollows (LAist Review, #2, #3) are poised to grace the Lobster Fest in San Pedro with none other than Joshua Tree-based indie rockers Gram Rabbit (LAist Review). And, lastly, Scottish rock act Frightened Rabbit will be performing with fellow Scots the Twilight Sad and We Were Promised Jetpacks. This week Wisconsin-bred folk singer-songwriter Justin Vernon, otherwise known as Bon Iver (LAist Review), will be performing at the Wiltern with none other than Durham's own Megafaun and by himself at Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Local indie rockers Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros are poised to take on not only the El Rey Theatre, but the Abbot Kinney Music Festival later on in the week as well. Telefon Tel Aviv, a Chicago-based experimental electronic duo that experienced the unexpected passing of one of its two members—Charles Cooper—at the beginning of the year, will be making a triumphant return to Spaceland. And, lastly, French "freak folk" outfit CocoRosie will be headlining the Henry Fonda Music Box.

Coming back into the limelight from its successful jaunts in 2006 and 2007, 2009's Autumn Lights LA Festival will be debuting tonight in the heart of Downtown at Pershing Square. As mentioned previously, the luminous festivity is centralized around local artists exhibiting various forms of studio and performance art—specifically focusing upon installations, performances and projections that make use of the medium of light.
