Police are continuing to investigate a youth pastor in Venice who was charged Friday with the sexual molestation of a 14-year-old girl, according to a news conference held by the LAPD this morning. Demetrius Darnell Allen, 28, allegedly had a year-long relationship with the girl, who was a parishioner at First Baptist Church in Venice.

Officials have trapped and killed seven coyotes in Laguna Woods after the animals reportedly killed several neighborhood dogs, reports L.A. Now. The coyotes became a problem in recent weeks, as residents in a senior living community reported that their dogs were being attacked while they were out for walks.

A man was found dead outside the Embassy Suites in Brea, having fallen or jumped off the building's sixth floor, according to the Daily News. The man, who is 45 but hasn't been otherwise identified, checked into the hotel several days ago, and fell this morning at around 3:20 a.m.

After a string of burglaries at five southern California campusus, police have arrested a man and a woman tin Irvine in connection to the crimes, reports the OC Register. Authorities are hoping the public can help them find the driver of a pickup truck that struck and critically injured a 45-year-old tourist from China, reports CBS News. LAPD officers, along with SWAT officers, have caught two suspects in connection with two armed robberies that took place in Sherman Oaks this afternoon, reports the Daily News. A 4-year-old girl was playing in her yard in Redlands last night when she suddenly went missing. When her father began walking around looking for her, he allegedly discovered a father's worst nightmare: she was naked, screaming and banging on the window of an apartment where authorities believe she had been kidnapped and molested, reports ABC7.

Grocery workers in Southern California have been threatening to strike since April, but according to a statement from the worker's union, the time may be at hand. This week, they say, meetings are being held with picket captains, and a strike could come as soon as next week. Workers are protesting their contracts, the negotiations of which have been going on for six months.
