Anyone who had the unfortunate experience of sitting through "The Hangover Part II" can tell you that it was little more than a regurgitation of the script from "The Hangover," set in Thailand and therefore featuring more racist stereotypes about Asian people. Like the "Sex and the City" movies, one desperately hoped that the producers would thank their lucky stars that they were able to pull the wool over movie-going audiences' eyes enough to get them to show up to this ridiculous sequel, then pocket the cash and run.

Temperatures are higher today, but for those who may still be shivering in their boots, LA County is opening warming centers throughout the city. The centers are part of the county's Winter Shelter Program, which runs from December 1, 2011 through March 12, 2012.

One man was killed after a hit-and-run crash on the 605 freeway at about 5:30 this morning. City News Service reports that the crash, which involved multiple vehicles including a taxi, happened on the northbound side of the freeway just south of Imperial Highway. The victim, who is in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene. A description of the hit-and-run vehicle hasn't been released, nor has the man's name.

On the heels of the mass eviction of Occupy LA protesters, during which 292 people were arrested, 11 members of Occupy San Diego were arrested today for trying to set up tents at the city's Civic Center Plaza, reports Reuters. Seven people were charged with illegal lodging, and one was charged with resisting arrest, according to Sign On San Diego.
