Another day, another SoCal teacher suspected of having sex with a student. Today, KTLA reports that the teacher in question is from Davis Middle School in Compton.

As LAUSD faces more and more budget cuts, the school board will consider cutting an after-school music program for kids called Beyond the Bell. The district-wide program, reports NBC Los Angeles, has reached 170,000 children over the years. They have music lessons and do their homework, and the program also serves as a safe place for kids to go who otherwise wouldn't have adult supervision.

A suspect was arrested yesterday for setting fire to a West Hollywood apartment building earlier this month. 25-year-old Samantha Scarano, lived in the building and allegedly set the fire because she was mad at her roommate. At around 2:00 a.m. on March 4, rescue personnel got a call about a blaze on the 1400 Block of North Sweetzer Avenue.
