Just like that, one month is down in our quickening spiral towards the inevitable end of the world in 2012. According to the Mayans, you're running out of time to see good, high-quality comedy, so make this week count before it's too late.

It's live late night shows galore this week, as ComedySportz and Second City both host their own versions on Friday night. Beyond that, The Whitest Kids U'Know are at Largo and a new stand up show gets up and running at Royal/T in Culver City.

We're officially out of ideas. Photo by S-Paul45 via LAist Flickr. Yet another big week of comedy is upon us, with Stephen Merchant coming across the pond and putting together three nights at Largo. Be sure to check out the full week, including Bill Maher down in Irvine on Sunday night. If you've got a show coming up that you'd like to see listed, email me and we'll tell jokes over email. Promise. MONDAY...

For all the best burgers is Los Angeles’ talk that gets thrown around the Southern California blogosphere, you’re not likely to hear about many spots outside the city limits. But if The Lab Brewing Company in Agoura Hills has their way, that’ll change soon enough.

It seems there’s not much room for magic these days. “Oohs” and “Aahs” have been replaced with narrow-eyed skepticism, while the lovely darkness of simply not knowing something is little more than a Siri answer away. Thankfully, there are guys like Justin Willman out there, trying not to let us ruin all the fun for ourselves.

There are shows happening everywhere from the beach to Pasadena, so be sure to get out and get happy. Monday night features a rare stand-up-only show on the main stage, featuring Rebecca Corry, Drew Droege and more.

Photo courtesy photobacarella via LAist Flickr pool. Welcome into 2012, everyone. We've been doing this weekly comedy calendar for too many years to count now, and there aren't any plans to slow down in the near future. So, if you've got shows you'd like to recommend for the near future, email 'em over and you might just find it hear. Otherwise, enjoy yourselves, behave, and laugh like madmen. MONDAY 1/2 True Story, 8:30p iO...

Just because Christmas is over and New Year's is still a few days away, that doesn't mean there aren't plenty of great comedy shows around town this week. A lot of regular shows are still in holiday mode, so expect to see fun renditions of some great shows you already know and love.

While the second half of the week is relatively quiet (considering how this town clears out for the holidays), there's still plenty of great stuff to see, including a Christmas benefit with Patton Oswalt. And, as always, the Laugh Factory is hosting free shows and meals for the underprivileged on Christmas Day, which is simply amazing. Happy holidays, everyone!

It's holiday party season, where festive folks put on their finery in search of a good time. Why not get a little dolled up and make it out to some of this week's great comedy shows? From Brea to the ocean breakers, comedy abounds. All it's missing is you.
