A Border Patrol agent fatally shot a 32-year-old woman in San Diego county through her windshield on Friday. Authorities said the woman had hit him with her car and then continued to drive with the agent on her hood.

Cookie, the last lion at the Los Angeles Zoo, was euthanized yesterday at the age of 23 after her health had rapidly deteriorated. A necropsy revealed that the lioness was suffering from cancer.

Riverside County Democrats claim that at least 133 of their party members were tricked into registering as Republicans. Some of the Democrats complain that they were re-registered with the wrong party when they signed petitions to legalize marijuana or to lower gas prices. Some were offered jobs and others were offered free cigarettes.
