This week reports surfaced that someone had posed in a photo with the human head found in the Hollywood Hills this week. Professional dog walker Lauren Kornberg told Gawker that although she and her mother discovered the human head in Bronson Canyon, neither of them snapped any photos of the head—neither even had a camera or cell phone.

More details are emerging about the man fatally shot by deputies last night in Lancaster. The sheriff's department said that the man was unarmed and that there was a warrant out for his arrest.

A woman told a 9-1-1 dispatcher that a man threatened to commit suicide shortly before he ran away and jumped to his death on the 5 freeway in San Clemente. The upset and screaming woman reported the disturbing incident at 2:39 a.m. on Saturday.
