9-1-1 Call: Man Threatened to Commit Suicide Before Jumping to His Death On 5 Freeway

A woman told a 9-1-1 dispatcher that a man threatened to commit suicide shortly before he ran away and jumped to his death on the 5 freeway in San Clemente.
The upset and screaming woman reported the disturbing incident at 2:39 a.m. on Saturday, according to the Orange County Register. The man was struck by at least one car and pronounced dead at the scene.
The name of the man wasn't released, but the coroner is treating the man's death as a suicide.
