A local weatherman filed a suit claiming that a local news station refused to consider his impeccable meteorologist credentials and instead opted to hire the candidate who looked best in a skirt. Kyle Hunter, who has been a weatherman at different stations around Southern California for the last two decades, hired Gloria Allred and filed a suit in court alleging that he faced discrimination.

A day care worker in Orange County, who worked in an after school program for six years, was convicted of molesting two boys during "movie time" while he was working in Saddleback Valley Unified School. Scott Andrew Christensen, 28, wept when he heard the verdict ready today, according to a City News Service. He faces 55 years to life in prison and he will be sentenced in June.

The proposed routes for downtown's streetcars are (finally!) getting ready for their close-up. The routes supposed to connect all the hot spots in downtown—Bunker Hill, South Park, Historic Broadway and L.A. Live—are being reviewed for their environmental impact.

The Oscars are going to be held at the same venue where they've been held at for the last decade: at the corner of Hollywood & Highland. Today the Academy made the announcement that its awards would be held at what is now called the Hollywood & Highland Center next February 15

A man told Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa to "Go back to Mexico" on his way out of the state capitol. Villaraigosa was in Sacramento taking on the third rail of California politics and suggesting that Proposition 13 be overhauled. But Sacramento Bee columnist Dan Morain happened to be tagging along with Villaraigosa that day for a profile of the mayor.

Glendale has killed its red-light camera program. Capt. Carl Povilaitis said that the nearly 4-year-old red-light camera program was "cumbersome" and not "the best use of our resources."
