A home in Chatsworth was vandalized with toilet paper, feces and the word "Jew" scrawled in maple syrup alongside swastikas. The homeowner says he believes that the vandalism might have been a prank pulled by former friends of his daughter, but police are investigating the vandalism as a hate crime because of its anti-Semitic message

Last night students protesting at the board of trustees meeting at Santa Monica College were pepper-sprayed by campus police. The college's President Dr. Chui L. Tsang released a statement commending the campus police officers for exercising restraint and not arresting any of the students. He said the pepper-spraying was to "preserve public and personal safety."
