  • We caught up with L.A.-based artist Cole Sternberg at the unveiling of his latest exhibition, "the content bleeds through." Take a tour with us and the artist through his "vision for this apocalyptic moment when media and technology have pushed us so far that all the content blurs together."
  • Can MTV.com do what many have tried (and failed) to do over the past decade-and-a-half -- become the MTV of the internet? MTV Networks' head of digital media told us that's exactly what he's set out to do in 2011. We rapped with EVP of MTV.com Dermot McCormack about iPads, Android tablets, Lady Gaga, and the future of MTV programming and he came at us with a three-pronged proposal to cure the world of Justin Bieber... or... to dominate the entertainment industry like Max Headroom always envisioned, long before Jersey Shore.
  • They're back! The circus has ditched its tent and camped out at the club downtown. AEG and Goldenvoice teamed up Cirque Berzerk to bring the spectacle to the 2,300-capacity Club Nokia at L.A. Live for a 26-show run this month. The show is now in its second week so catch it while it's hot.
  • Hundreds of Angelenos braved the wet weather Sunday morning to take part in 350 eARTh, the world's first-ever global climate art project visible from space. The installation at Los Angeles State Historic Park formed the shape of a "Solar Eagle Taking Flight," combining solar photovoltaic film sheets and copper, accented with people.
  • Saturday afternoon more than 50 professional and amateur bakers will present their dainty delectables at Los Angeles' first-ever Cupcake Camp.
  • The Get Schooled 2010 Challenge dropped in on LA on Friday, surprising the students at Ulysses S. Grant High School in Valley Village with a one-hour assembly hosted by MTV's Sway and featuring Common.
  • Sherry Townsend's husband was in the front yard of their E. 106th Street home when a man threatened him with a gun and then took two puppies on Wednesday night. The purebred bulldogs are worth about $3,000 each, according to ABC7. If you see a couple bulldog pups that appear to be freshly stolen, call LAPD Southeast Station at (213) 972-7828....
  • Tired of the same 'ol? It's time to get inspired if you feel there's not enough change going around. Stop by Subliminal Projects in Echo Park and peel your eyes wide for Pattern Recognition, the current group art exhibition on display through December 4th.
  • In preparation for the long-awaited cinematic release of TRON: Legacy, Royal/T in Culver City is hosting a TRON: Legacy Pop Up Shop where you can indulge in all kinds of merch while shopping for an appropriately metallic outfit to wear to the theater on opening night.
  • Last month we gave you the rundown* on when we can expect 4th-generation mobile internet speeds from the top four carriers. But we forgot about the little guy(s). MetroPCS is not-so-well known as the fifth-largest mobile provider in the U.S and today its 4G high-speed data network was lit up across L.A. (available only on the Samsung Craft 4G). MetroPCS has competitive rates and a map indicating decent coverage across L.A. But does anyone...
