I started out at KPCC/LAist handling distribution of our California college guides, and now I have the pleasure of supporting our efforts to include your questions and experiences in our coverage, with a particular focus on education coverage.
As an Assistant Engagement Producer, I am an advocate for our community members who choose to share their memories, their insights, and their questions about Los Angeles with us. Something I’m always thinking about: How can we make our newsroom more accessible to folks outside of it? How can we ensure our readers and listeners feel heard, reflected, and appreciated?
I grew up listening to KQED in my grandmother’s Camry (hey, Grandmère!). I graduated from Occidental College in Eagle Rock in 2021, and before LAist, I worked in schools with elementary and middle schoolers. I still babysit them when I can, mostly because I appreciate their honesty. If I’m not working, I’m probably making one of my two greatest pleasures: sauces or soups.
