The 3-year search to identify a 17-second song clip has been solved
(SOUNDBITE OF SONG, "EVERYONE KNOWS THAT (ULTERIOR MOTIVES)")
CHRISTOPHER DAVID BOOTH: (Singing) You're counting all your sheep in disguise.
A MARTÍNEZ, HOST:

The key was identifying the song by its alternative name, "Ulterior Motives." Internet sleuths used a publishing database to narrow down the potential songwriters. One Reddit user found it was credited to Christopher and Philip Adrian Booth, who premiered the tune in an adult film. Mmm-hmm.
