Woman Delivers Baby After Being Shot Several Times

A woman who was seven months pregnant delivered her baby after being shot several times. The shooting occurred last night around 10 p.m. in the driveway of a home in the 1900 block of Merced Avenue in South El Monte. A release from the L.A. Sheriff's Department's Temple Station says the shooter (or possibly shooters) approached the woman, then opened fire. She was hit multiple times, then her attackers took off in a dark-colored sedan.
The woman was taken to the hospital where her baby was delivered. The baby is in fair condition, but the mother is in critical condition, CBS reports.
