11 Days, some 800 events and more than 30 venues. This Thursday marks the beginning of the first Hollywood Fringe Festival. From theatre to comedy to dance, the artistic community-driven event, modeled after the Festival Fringe in Edinburgh, could up the presence of L.A.'s small theatre scene. And if there's anything you can learn from the festival's map, seen above, Hollywood has a lot of performance spaces (or at least ad hoc ones) tucked throughout the neighborhood.
