USC Among the Best Party Schools in the U.S.A. Says Playboy
Time to summon up your Trojan Pride in the name of a damn good time (while getting an education): The University of Southern California has the honor of ranking fourth on Playboy's newest list of the country's Top 10 Party Schools.
While not exactly what those hefty tuition checks are meant to subsidize, USC is where students can not only get some top notch learning, (from profs like James Franco) but also some high quality raging fun. But perhaps the incoming frosh's motto should be "Party Harder!" because the 2013 ranking is a two-slot drop from the previous year on the same list.
This year the Playboy list was the target of a hoax organized by anti-rape activists who sent out a phony listing and set up a whole faux website, according to HuffPo:
The group posed as Playboy with a website that appeared to replace the magazine's annual party school list with a consensual sexual behavior guide, and offered a fake interview on consent with Playboy founder Hugh Hefner. It was promoted with additional fake websites showing news coverage by HuffPost, BroBible and UpWorthy, though none of articles were legitimate.
The popular list, an annual Playboy tradition since 2009, was compiled using data from the National Center for Education Statistics, the NCAA and the U.S. Census, along with input from millions of people on social media, according to City News Service.
Unfortunately, sometimes the party atmosphere turns serious, like in May of this year, when 70 LAPD cops in riot gear showed up to a gathering, leading to accusations of racial profiling, or last year's Halloween party shooting. Naming USC to the Playboy list also has some Trojans a little dubious, like this Trojan tweeter:
