Two Men Shot Near Hollywood Halloween Festivities

Two men were shot and wounded just south of Hollywood Boulevard right as Halloween festivities were in full swing. The shooting was just part of an apparently wild night in the area as revelers from across the city poured into Hollywood to celebrate.
The shooting happened around 2:15 a.m. last night at the corner of Selma Avenue and Schrader Boulevard. One man was shot in the buttocks and the hip and the other was shot in the groin, according to City News Service. They were both taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The shooting appears to be gang-related, according to LAPD Sgt. Leonard Calderon.
About 15 minutes after the two men were shot, someone fired shots at a car exiting a parking garage on Vine Street. No one inside was hit and it is unclear whether the two incidents were related, CNS reports.
