Two Dead In Apparent Murder-Suicide At Park La Brea
The bodies of two people—apparent victims of a murder-suicide—were discovered in a Park La Brea apartment complex this morning.
Police responded to a call of shots fired and a woman screaming around 7:30 a.m. at the Palazzo apartment complex on Hauser Boulevard, according to City News Service. The SWAT team was called in around 9 a.m. because the apartment was barricaded, according to NBC Los Angeles. After entering, they discovered the bodies.
LAPD Capt. Howard Leslie told CBS Los Angeles, "The initial radio call was about 10 shots, and when the officers were inside the apartment, they heard one to two more shots. When SWAT showed up on scene, there were no more shots."
LAPD said they're treating the incident as a murder-suicide. The names of the deceased have not been released. Part of Hauser was shut down for the investigation this morning.
