Truck Driver Killed in Collision with Metrolink Train near El Monte
A collision involving a Metrolink train and a Union Pacific maintenance truck has left one dead and two injured, according to LA Now . The train was bound for San Bernardino from Union Station, and collided with the truck at around 9:20 a.m. when it reached the crossing at Temple Avenue, located near the 605 Freeway where the City of Industry meets unincorporated Bassett. of the over 130 people on board, two were taken to area hospitals while the rest were detoured by bus. The driver of the maintenance truck was killed.
