Expect weekend traffic: VP Harris will be in town for a fundraiser

Cars are backed up on a freeway with five lanes of traffic, with a separate express lane towards the middle. It's a sunny, clear day.

Topline:

Vice President Kamala Harris is scheduled to land in Los Angeles Saturday afternoon and attend a fundraiser for her campaign on Sunday evening, according to press reports.

Where will the event be: The fundraiser location has not been released, so brace for traffic and road closures related to Harris's motorcade anywhere around town.

Any guesses?: Though she hasn't confirmed she'll be staying there, Harris and her husband Doug Emhoff keep a residence in Brentwood.

The backstory: Harris has been campaigning in nearby states, including in Arizona. That's where she was yesterday as she called for tighter asylum restrictions at the U.S.-Mexico border. This weekend's stop in Los Angeles is the first since she became the Democratic presidential nominee.

When she's leaving town: Harris likely will be out of town by Sunday evening, as she's scheduled to attend a campaign rally in Las Vegas later that night.
