One year ago, Congress defunded public media. Now that we're 100% community funded, please become a sustaining member or increase your existing membership today.

TMZ and Starline Tours announced today the offspring of their beautifully unholy union: a sensational new Hollywood Tour called 'Secrets and Celebrity Hot Spots.' More than a Star Map on wheels, this tourist adventure of scandal-soaked dreams promises a custom Starline bus that stops at such locations as Winona Ryder's least favorite department store, and the legendary Laugh Factory, "where 'Seinfeld' star Michael Richards went on his famed racist rant," reports CBS Local.

According to TMZ and Starline, throughout the tour, "shocking and never-before-seen” video from the TMZ archive will help guide the action, while clips of TMZ staffers will provide "an inside look at selected Hollywood hot spots." Naturally, tour guides will be equipped with cameras in case a gossip emergency breaks out during the sightseeing gawkfest.

The TMZ tour begins May 1 and tickets go on sale beginning March 28 on the Starline Tours and TMZ websites.

One year ago, Congress voted to defund public media, eliminating a critical $1.7 million from our budget every year going forward. But they couldn’t silence us, and we’re not going anywhere. LAist is now 100% community funded and that means we’re taking our future into our own hands and turning to you to keep local reporting strong.

You come to LAist because you want independent reporting and trustworthy local information. Our nonprofit newsroom doesn’t answer to shareholders looking to turn a profit. Instead, we answer to you and our communities. We are free to follow facts wherever they lead and to hold power to account without fear or favor. Our only loyalty is to our readers and listeners and our mission: to inform, engage, and strengthen Southern California’s communities.
