Teenage Girl Says She Was Sexually Assaulted by Three Men at Stagecoach Country Music Festival
A 17-year-old girl alleges that she was sexually assaulted at the Stagecoach Country Music Festival in Indio last night. The alleged assault happened inside one of the portable bathrooms at the festival, police told CBS Los Angeles. The girl told police a man opened up the door and stepped inside with two other friends who then proceeded to sexually assaulted her. It all happened around 8:30 pm.
The three suspects fled the scene. The woman sought help at a first aid center at the festival before being treated at a hospital. There's little information about the suspects, but one of them is described as having blond hair.
Police did note that Stagecoach seems to be an especially raucous affair. They told CBS that there are significantly more arrests this weekend compared to the two previous weekends of indie rock at Coachella. There were 57 arrests so far, and most of those were for drunken conduct.
