The New Griffith Observatory: A Photo Essay
Friday, November 3rd will see the long awaited reopening of the Griffith Observatory. Last night, City Council invited members from their districts to a preview (thank you Jack Weiss!). While LA Observed saw it last week, we walked it last night and bumped into Metroblogging Los Angeles.
The sweetest moment of the night was overhearing a conversation between a friend who lived here and a friend who didn't. "See why this city is so great? You can go to the observatory and look over the city and then be hiking one minute later." It was the usual "surf in the morning, ski at night" why we love LA statement, but it's so true.
