The Hollywood Sign Is Getting A Mini-Makeover
Like any showbiz grande dame in her late 80s, the Hollywood Sign needs a little help looking young and beautiful. The internationally-recognized landmark is about to get a "facelift," says the Associated Press.
This mini-makeover won't see any structural changes, just some primping. The letters will be "stripped down to sheet metal, primed and given a new coat of white paint."
The project is expected to take 10 weeks, and starts Tuesday. Next year, the sign celebrates its 90th anniversary as a fixture on the hills above "Hollywoodland."
