Drivers, Beware: The Grapevine Closed Due to Snow, Says CHP
Drivers, if you're hoping to take the Golden State (5) freeway through the Grapevine, it's time to make other plans right now. The California Highway Patrol has closed the 5 Freeway at the Grapevine due to snow.
Inclement weather is forcing the shutdown on the southbound side at Laval Road in Kern County, and the northbound freeway has been closed at Parker Road in Los Angeles County, says CHP Officer Francisco Villalobos, according to City News Service.
In addition to unfavorable driving conditions in some areas, today's storm is also expected to bring us gusty winds, chilly temps, and high surf.
