Fifth-grade Dominguez Elementary School teacher Silvestre Ela has been arrested for possession and distribution of child pornography and police are asking for possible sexual abuse victims to step forward, according to the LAPD. Several computers and DVDs containing pornographic images were taken from Ela's home. Ela, 53, has admitted to viewing and downloading images of child pornography, but has denied preying on or victimizing children. He could face up to three years in state prison if convicted.
