Last month, photographer/director Dave Naz (MySpace) celebrated the release of his new Vivid-Alt (MySpace) movie Sugar Town, his third directorial effort for the imprint, with a party at Beauty Bar in Hollywood. "[In] the spirit of the 70's Blaxploitation genre," Sugar Town includes "Classic cars, clothing and decor reminiscent of the sleaziest of 70's porn."

The party was coincidentally held the same day the 2009 AVN Award nominations were announced, with Vivid-Alt receiving 30 altogether -- including 11 for The Doll Underground (including Best Video Feature and Best Editing), nine for The Bad Luck Betties (including Best Video Feature and Best Director), and seven for Morphine (including Best High-End All Sex Release, Best Director, and Best Double Penetration Sex Scene) -- with four for Best Music Soundtrack (the aforementioned three movies and Circa '82).

In attendance were stars Ashley Blue, Tyler Knight (MySpace), Alex Gonz, and Julius Ceazher. Also present were stars Madison Young (MySpace) and Stevie Hart (MySpace), Vivid-Alt head Eon McKai (MySpace), director Vena Virago (MySpace), director Carlos Batts (MySpace) with wife April Flores (MySpace), photographer Eric Kroll, and AVN photographer Gia Jordan (MySpace).

Sugar Town is available on DVD.

Special thanks to Eon McKai, Dave Naz, and Beauty Bar.
