A Studio City resident returned home to something she described as "unfathomable:" her apartment had been broken into and her beloved Maltese dog, Jack, was missing.

Karen Chamberlain's laptop and safety deposit box, which contained invaluable family documents, were also stolen. But Chamberlain is focused on bringing her beloved dog home, offering a $5,000 reward for the return of her prized pup one she lovingly refers to as "her child."

"I start thinking about how I should've protected him or something," Chamberlain told NBC4.

In an effort to find the dog, Chamberlain has set up a Facebook page and has scoured security camera footage for any signs of Jack or the people who may have taken him. In the meantime, anyone who has any information regarding the whereabouts of Jack can call 818-452-8722.
