Street Food Fest Nearly Sold Out
Those who experienced the last street food festival know that tens of thousands of people all waiting in line with you can make for an exasperating experience. That's why the organizers of the festival changed things up for this Summer's tasting event at the Rose Bowl. Only 5,000 tickets are being sold, and, well, save for some VIP tickets, it's just about sold out, according to Shawna Dawson, who emphasizes that no tickets will be sold at the door.
Over 60 food vendors, including nine that will make up the ice cream social area, will be serving up an array of food, along with Unique LA vendors and a mezcal/tequila tasting area.
Also, judges for the event have been announced. Chef Susan Feniger, "Grey's Anatomy" heartthrob actor and foodie Jesse Williams and others will stuff their faces in order to give out honors such as Best Old School Street Food and Best Nouveau Street Food.
