A burning Mercedes-Benz SUV was found on a Studio City street in September 2002 with the bodies of 35-year-old Michael Tardio and 31-year-old Christopher Monson inside. Both men had been shot, reports ABC Local.
Investigators believe the two were killed while attempting to "sell jewelry belonging to Tardio's girlfriend, featured in Playboy Magazine," notes ABC Local. Police hope an increased reward of $75,000 will help solve this nine-year-old case and urge anyone with information to call (877) LAPD-24-7 or (877) 527-3247.
