Jogger Sexually Assaulted On Santa Monica Beach

A woman was sexually assaulted yesterday during an early morning run on a beach in Santa Monica.
The assault happened around 4:50 am just north of the Santa Monica pier, police told CNS. The woman was running near the water when she noticed a man that began charging toward her. She tried to get away, but he chased her, wrestled her down to the ground and assaulted her. She was able to eventually get away and run toward Pacific Coast Highway.
The suspect fled to the north. He was described as a 30-year-old man, 5' 6" tall, thin and muscular, short brown hair and a full beard. He was shirtless, shoeless and wearing blue jean shorts.
