Sex Offender Lures Kids With Parrot Named 'Mango'

65-year-old registered sex offender Michael Joseph DeSilva was arrested in Huntington Beach on Saturday for allegedly trying to lure children with a parrot near Main Street and Pacific Coast Highway, reports CBS Local.DeSilva was not making contact with children when officers approached, however witnesses told police the man was trying to get kids to play with his bird, “Mango.”
Authorities are looking for any children who may have had contact with DeSilva and ask anyone with information to call the Huntington Beach Police Department at 714-960-8825.
