Today's weather forecast comes from the "you've got to be effing kidding me!" department, thanks to unseasonably warm...err, HOT...temperatures that are not going to drop off for a few more days.
The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook, thanks to this fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk September heatwave.
We can thank a "broad area of high pressure" over the west coast this week for the latest "warming trend." Come Wednesday through Friday, we are going to see temps during the day soar 10 to 20 degrees above the seasonal norm. It's going to be hottest in the western San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita Valley, and Ventura County valleys, where temperatures are going to hit the 100F mark and beyond, up to 105F.
If you can, hit the coast, where things will be cooler there, with temps in the 70s. But even the non-Valleyites won't have much to be smug about, when it's going to be in the mid-90s even in Downtown L.A.
For those who are ready to sip those pumpkin lattes and don their scarves, fall isn't coming anytime to soon to Los Angeles. Actually, while the NWS says things will cool off by a mere 5 to 10 degrees over the weekend, it's going to stay this warm into next week. Oof. Stay hydrated, Angelenos!
