SCE And SoCalGas Customers Set To Receive Rebates

Southern California Edison customers will receive a $86 California Climate Credit on their April bill. They will receive the same rebate again in October. SoCalGas customers will receive a one-time credit of $73.41 in April.
What do I have to do? Nothing — residential and small business customers will automatically see the payment credited on their bills.
Where is the money coming from? Funding for the rebates comes from California's Greenhouse Gas Cap-and-Trade program. Through the program, utility companies pay the California Public Utilities Commission for emitting greenhouse gasses. These funds are then used by the state towards achieving their climate goals with a portion going to residents and small businesses as a rebate on their utility bills.
