Protest Shuts Down Streets Around LAX

An interfaith coalition of protestors called for a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war and temporarily shut down the main streets into and around the Los Angeles International Airport Friday afternoon.
Why it matters: The 96th Street Bridge entrance into the airport’s passenger terminal area was impacted, according to the Los Angeles Airport Police. It also affected Uber, Lyft, and other rideshare drivers and passengers.
The backstory: A similar protest closed the 110 freeway for more than an hour on Wednesday. 75 people were arrested.
