A deceased female was found by a passerby on a valley sidewalk.

The unidentified woman, thought to be between 30 and 35 years old, was discovered at around 5 p.m. Wednesday evening outside a home in the Granada Hills area near the corner of Devonshire Street and Encino Avenue, according to City News Service.

The person who spotted the woman slumped over on the sidewalk called 911, reports KTLA. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation is underway to determine what connection, if any, the woman has to the property in front of which she was found. The Los Angeles Police Department is also working to determine a cause of death, and if the woman died at that location or if she had been dumped there.
