Woman Found Dead in a Parked Car, Police Suspect Foul Play

Police suspect foul play in the death of a woman, whose body was found in a parked car last night. The woman—only identified as being white and in her 30's—was found slumped over in the passenger seat of a car in a driveway on the border of Burbank and Los Angeles, according to City News Service. She was declared dead at the scene by Burbank firefighters.
There was a jurisdiction issue to contend with before any investigation got started. Burbank police got called to the scene and determined that foul play may have been involved, but the case got kicked over to LAPD homicide investigators when they figured out her body was technically found in Los Angeles.
A local business owner who wouldn't offer his name told The Burbank Leader that he knew the woman's family and suspects the woman died of a drug overdose.
“I mean, I know,” the man said. “It’s a small town.”
