Third Pot Dispensary Shooting in City Took Place Saturday in Northridge

A robbery-shooting at a Northridge medical marijuana dispensary has left one employee wounded and in critical condition, according to LA Now.The crime took place on Saturday night, when the suspects entered the dispensary, and during the course of the robbery, shot the employee in the face, and left with about $11,000 in cash.
The LAPD is investigating the incident, but does not believe it is related to the two other recent robbery-shootings that took place in Echo Park and Hollywood dispensaries, however an LAPD captain says he believes the crimes show "a disturbing pattern."
Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca views the crimes with an eye on other kinds of drug activities and assassinations; last week Baca said "authorities shouldn't rule out a link between the robberies and slayings at the pot clinics and drug cartels."
