An unidentified person was found dead early Tuesday morning after what appears to be either a fatal jump or fall onto an offramp of the 101 Freeway in Hollywood.

Few details have been made available about the death, however the investigation did prompt the Los Angeles Police Department to shut down the Cahuenga Boulevard offramp from the southbound side of the 101 from around 4:30 to 7:30 this morning, according to City News Service.

The deceased fell or jumped onto the offramp, but was not involved in any traffic crash, confirms the LAPD.

UPDATE 10:50 A.M.: The victim has been identified as a man in his 30s, however his name is being withheld pending notification of his next of kin.
