2 LAPD Sobriety Checkpoints Scheduled for This Weekend

The Los Angeles Police Department has released information about two sobriety checkpoints they will run this weekend:
- Friday, November 12, 8 p.m. - 2 a.m.
@Washington Blvd between Abbot Kinney Blvd and Yale Ave in Venice [map] - Saturday, November 13, 8 p.m. - 2 a.m.
@Cahuenga Blvd West at Broadlawn Dr. in North Hollywood/Universal City area [map]
At the checkpoints, officers will be checking drivers for signs of alcohol and or drug impairments and will check for proper licensing and will strive to impact motorists only momentarily. If you are headed out this weekend, be sure to use Metro when possible, have a designated driver, or contact info for a cab company stored in your phone.
