Meet Councilman Eric Garcetti -- errrrr -- Mayor Ramon Quintero

The last time we saw L.A. City Council President Eric Garcetti acting on TV, it was a bit... awkward turtle. Last night, however, casting directors for "The Closer" did perfectly, having him play Los Angeles Mayor Ramon Quintero (he is part Mexican and speaks Spanish fluently) at a news conference, where on-the-job experience made the scene go smoothly. Next to him stood his dad and former L.A. County District Attorney, Gil, who played the retiring LAPD Chief of Police.
In reality, Garcetti has been in the spotlight for years as a presumed frontrunner for L.A. mayor. He's never made an official announcement, but as the next mayoral election cycle nears, we're sure to hear a lot more. One thing that's got us curious, is all this Hollywood psychologically priming Angelenos for their choice future candidate?
