A man tried to flee the Los Angeles Police Department by jumping from roof to roof in Winnetka overnight, but was captured after he became stranded, according to the Daily News. After being called to the scene following reports of the man on a rooftop, the suspect began to jump from building to building. "His final jump was from the roof of a three-story building to the roof of a one-story building," from which he could not get down. The LAPD and LAFD rescued him, and then arrested him.

According to authorities, the man was "under the influence of an unspecified controlled substance."
