Police in North Hollywood are searching for the suspect in a sexual assault that took place on March 11th. The victim, a 37-year-old woman, said the man followed her as she walked down Lankershim Boulevard at around 12:45 a.m. The suspect approached her when they reached the 6900 block of Lankershim [map], when he forcefully grabbed her and took her to a nearby parking lot where he ordered her to remove her clothing, according to a press release issued today by the LAPD. The man proceeded to sexually assault the victim, then fled the parking lot on foot. He was last seen near Lankershim and Hart Street.

"The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 24-26 years of age with curly or wavy shoulder- length hair." He is about 5'6" and weighs approximately 120 pounds. The LAPD released a composite sketch as well as a photo of the suspect.

The LAPD asks that anyone with information about the suspect or crime contact North Hollywood Detectives Murachver or Zavala at (818) 623-4090.
