Female Transient Found Stabbed to Death in Local Park [UPDATE]

Police in North Hollywood are investigating the stabbing death of a female transient whose body was discovered early Tuesday morning in a local park.
The victim was found at about 2:15 a.m. at a baseball field in Weddington Park, per the Los Angeles Police Department's North Hollywood Station, according to City News Service.
L.A. Now reports the victim is estimated to be about 40 years old.
Further details about the woman or the stabbing have not been made available.
UPDATE: The victim has been identified as a 32-year-old woman from Rosamond, and has been determined to not be a transient. A suspect has been arrested for her murder. Read more.
